Merry Christmas

We had a great Christmas. We had a Christmas eve party over at Caleb's parents house with my family. Caleb and I slept over at Caleb's parents house so we could wake up and have Christmas morning with his family. Caleb surprised me with a couple of gifts. Gifts that brought tears to my eyes. He is so thoughtful. We went to my grandma's house to spend some time with family. Every one wanted to know the latest and greatest about our adoption. (I wish I had more news of when we go to get him.) We showed a short video of pictures from our trip. This was the first time some had seen him. He melted their hearts. We also went to my parents house in the afternoon. My youngest brother called home. It was soooo great to hear his voice and talk to him. We put the phone on speaker phone and all just talked to him. I can't believe he comes home in almost 6 mos. It has been nice to spend the whole weekend with Caleb. He has tomorrow off from work. I wish I did too so we could spend more time together.

A nice surprise

So I really have not been in my normal Christmas Spirit. Today we had great news in our adoption. I had a baby shower at work. Right after I got done with the shower I got an email from Caleb. It says, " I just wanted to let you know what I've been doing today. Love you". There was a picture attached. I don't have the original picture so when I got home from work I took one for myself. Here is what he did:

He brought up our tree and decorated it. When I walked in the house he had the scentsy (wax warmer) turned on. The most amazing smell was running through our house. He had all the lights off and our tree was the only thing on. I truly have the most amazing husband and I am not sure I express that on here or to him enough. Yesterday I came home from work and he had cleaned the house. I am not sure how I got so lucky but I am really blessed to have him in my life.

I just wanted to take a second and thank you for being such a great man. You are so inspiring and make me a better person. I cannot wait to take this next big journey with you. You are going to be a great dad and I cannot wait to witness it with our little guy. He has no idea how lucky he is to have you as his example. Seeing you hold him, open your heart to him, and let him take a piece of it to hold onto until we go back for him was incredible. Thank you again.
