Today's the Day

Caleb and a group of guys that he works with are starting a pool. What's the bet? They are all starting the P90X program. Each guy is putting in $10 and whoever lasts the longest doing it will win. The fact that the bet is not on who lost the most weight or inches but who can last the longest sticking to the program. Good Luck Babe.

Caleb asked if I wanted to do it with him, other spouses were going to be doing it the other guys. At first I thought...hmmm...Are you kidding?? Commit myself to working out. The couch and I have a pretty steady relationship on the nights I am not sitting in class. I am kind of scared to jump on board. I have heard good things about this program. I understand why after sitting on the couch watching the video I was breaking a sweat. One of the first videos is a 17min Ab Ripper. 17min does not sound bad but the word ripper does.

Tonight's workout is an hour and a half. I am nervous and excited to get in shape. We get to do this in the comfort of our home and together which will help us both push through the pain, so will ibuprofen and the jetted tub. I will keep the blog updated on our progress.

Latest Projects

I have posted in the past about the project that I have been working on for my soon to be born nephews room. I just finished it today and it turned out pretty cute. It matches his bedding really well. I hope that his parents like the outcome. I also hope they do not change their mind about the name.

Today is my Mother-n-laws birthday and I made her gift as well. My mom and I went shopping yesterday and I bought everything to make it. I painted the star, heart and the letter C. I also applied the pattern to the C. A little greenery goes a long way with a few punches of red. I hope she enjoys it and can find a place for it.

My Eyes

I can see clearly now my glasses are gone. My Lasik surgery went really well. I had it done last Thursday. Caleb took me to my follow up appointment on Friday. things are healing great and my eyesight as of Friday was 20/25. My depth perception has been off by quite a bit. The doctor said t is caused because of the correction of my prescription and astigmatism. Due to the fact of both being corrected it will take a little longer to adjust. I asked the doctor what my prescription was before my surgery. I also told people that I was blind when asked. After finding out what my prescription was blind was right. The big E at the top of the eye chart is 20/400. When you add in how bad my astigmatism was it put me at 20/800. Are you kidding me? After hearing that it solidified my thoughts of always being blind.

After my apointment Friday we ran to the mall ande I bought my first pair of sunglasses. They are cute. It was an adjustment to be able to see myself in the mirrior with them on. I asked Caleb and the girl that worked at the kiosk to help me decide since this was a first. This was a big decision. I needed reinforcement on which one was a good match for me.

I feel like a child who has just learned how to read. I find myself reading everything just to prove to myself that I can see it/read it.
