This is the week -

I just wanted to post because I was offered the job that I interviewed for last week. I am excited for the change and challenge. I officially start my new job on April 11th.

In two days I am having my Lasik eye surgery. I am a little scared, these are my eyes I'm talking about. I will post this weekend with the results. After all of these years I can't imagine not wearing glasses.

Weekly Update

I made the basket for last Saturday's wedding shower and I forgot to take a pic of the final product. It turned out cute. The couples kitchen is going to be red and black so I bought red and black dish towels, red bowls, black spatulas, a red apron, three black picture frames, black rubber cleaning gloves. I bought a big wicker basket. I also bought black ribbon with white polka dots and red shredded, scrunched up filler for the basket. It was a big basket from the whole family. I still can't believe I forgot to take a picture of it.

I have been working on the project for my future nephews room and it is coming to an end. I am happy with it so far I just need them to finalize the baby's name before I will be able to complete it.

This last Wed I had an interview at my current company for a new position. It went well and I should have an offer come some time this week. I really enjoy what I am doing so the change will be different. I we to my Vice President and President to get their advice on a couple of opportunities that I had been approached on. They both gave me great advice which is why I went ahead with the interview. I will keep you posted on how this goes.

Just keeping everyone up to date.

It has been over a week since I last posted and there has been a lot going on.

Today is my Dad's Birthday. I hope he had a great day and enjoyed every minute of it.

Last night my youngest brother Cortney put in his papers and is now waiting for his mission call. This is the first time I have posted about this subject. I am sure it will not be the last but it is definitely a hard topic for me to discuss. I am so proud of him and the choice he is making.

I have been busy with work and school. (so has Caleb) I have three showers this coming Saturday. I am not sure if I am going to be able to make it to all of them. I have two baby and one wedding. My mother n law asked if I would put together a basket for the wedding shower from our whole family. Of course I said yes. It has been a while since I have done a wedding one so we will see how this turns out. I will post a pic of the final basket.

I have also been working on another project for my sister n law's baby nursery. I might not be able to fully complete this until her son is born but I will continue to work on it. (picture to come once completed)

After typing all of this and everything else that I have posted I have realized I should post more about Caleb. So...He is keeping busy with work and attends classes four nights a week. He has been able on the weekends to go paintballing with one of his brothers. I am happy that he makes time for something he enjoys so much. We both have a stress reliever that involves paint. One on a canvas and the other on the opponent.

The Last few Days

This past week was busy. I attended an Off-site meeting for two days at the Grand Americas hotel for work. There was a total of 15 presentations and 4 panel discussions. Listening to all of the presenters was inspirational. To hear each of them speak so highly about our company and what we do. I was approached by two different people about new career opportunities. I am going to look at each of them and talk to a few people to get their thoughts about them.

Caleb set up an appointment for me that I went to this morning. It was a consultation for Lasik. After about an hour and a half I scheduled my procedure. I am going to have Lasik done on April 2nd. (Gotta get it done before our vacation.) I am so excited. I have been wearing either glasses or contacts since I was in kindergarten. My face is due for a change. I will not be sad to see my glasses go. ( I am really excited that Caleb won't be able to tease me about how blind I really am.)
