Thoughts

I posted a while back about P90X. Well that is just plain not happening for me. Caleb and I have been going for walks and I decided that we should start playing Frisbee. We went last weekend and bought a Frisbee and have played a couple of times in the backyard. I have been enjoying this time with Caleb. I am sure he would like to play with someone who is good but I'm not going anywhere so he will just have to adjust to running around to catch whatever I throw his way.

I am getting more and more antsy about our vacation that is less than 3 weeks away. Is it to early to start packing? For those people that know me, know that I would love to start packing.

I feel like everything I am doing is soooo dis-organized lately. I have talked about my relationship with the couch in the past. I think it is getting in the way of things I should really be getting done. I thought about this as I sat on the couch and watched the biggest loser finale for three hours last night. If I keep this relationship up I may end up on that show.

Update

Mother's Day-
Today is mother's day and the day went really well. We spent time with both of our mothers. My sister-n-law decided she wanted to practice doing gel toenails. So all of us girls decided to let her practice away. After choosing a Flamingo pink I have realized a need a tan to mach it. Our vacation is coming up which will resolve my dilemma.

Caleb-
Caleb just finished a semester of school. He is excited to have these classes behind him. I am so proud of him not only for what he has accomplished, but what he has his mind set on to still achieve.

Yard Work-
On Friday Caleb and I had a note on our front door. It was for two 14 year old boys looking to earn some money. They will walk dogs, mow lawns and pull weeds. Caleb and I looked at each other and well, I am going to call them and see if they want to earn money pulling weeds. Caleb enjoys yard work and I enjoy the yard. With both of us being in school we do not like to waste the time we have together. This could save us a lot of time, blisters on our hands and back aches. The only con I can see is missing out on the matching farmers tans. Do the pros outweigh the cons? Let's just say I will be making a phone call this week.

School update

I am sitting in a class that just started tonight. I only have four classes left until I have my degree. The fact that I can count the rest of my classes on one hand is great. I am so excited and looking forward for this step in my life to be done. I soon will have to look and figure out what school is next. I would like to start my next adventure in Jan. 2010. I am sure I will post more on my school thoughts in the future.

Update

It has been a few weeks since my last update on what's going on in our lives. We celebrated our Wedding anniversary on the 20th. It has been 8 years which means we have been together for 11 years. Things could not be better. I love Caleb with all of my heart and I grow more and more proud of him and us everyday.

My youngest brother Cortney got his mission call last week. He is going to Louisville, Kentucky. He leaves for the MTC on July, 1st. I am so excited for him and the choice he is making. July 1st is less than 60 days away. I know that time is going to come and go so quickly. I am so thankful that we work for the same company. This is great for me to get to see him and spend a little extra time with him. Caleb has already looked at how far away he will me. Luckily for me it is only about 23 hours driving distance away. (I think that is going to become a new vacation hot spot for Caleb and me.)

I had my one month follow up eye appointment on Friday. Everything is looking good. I am at 20/25 which I couldn't be happier about the results. I refer to the results as in seeing everything in HD. Everything is so crisp.

Caleb's brother and sister-n-law finally had our nephew Saturday morning. I am so excited for them. Once I have a picture I will post it. My sister-n-law was in labor for almost 24 hours but it was worth it. Braxton was almost 10 pounds and 21 inches long. Congrats.

Today's the Day

Caleb and a group of guys that he works with are starting a pool. What's the bet? They are all starting the P90X program. Each guy is putting in $10 and whoever lasts the longest doing it will win. The fact that the bet is not on who lost the most weight or inches but who can last the longest sticking to the program. Good Luck Babe.

Caleb asked if I wanted to do it with him, other spouses were going to be doing it the other guys. At first I thought...hmmm...Are you kidding?? Commit myself to working out. The couch and I have a pretty steady relationship on the nights I am not sitting in class. I am kind of scared to jump on board. I have heard good things about this program. I understand why after sitting on the couch watching the video I was breaking a sweat. One of the first videos is a 17min Ab Ripper. 17min does not sound bad but the word ripper does.

Tonight's workout is an hour and a half. I am nervous and excited to get in shape. We get to do this in the comfort of our home and together which will help us both push through the pain, so will ibuprofen and the jetted tub. I will keep the blog updated on our progress.

Latest Projects

I have posted in the past about the project that I have been working on for my soon to be born nephews room. I just finished it today and it turned out pretty cute. It matches his bedding really well. I hope that his parents like the outcome. I also hope they do not change their mind about the name.

Today is my Mother-n-laws birthday and I made her gift as well. My mom and I went shopping yesterday and I bought everything to make it. I painted the star, heart and the letter C. I also applied the pattern to the C. A little greenery goes a long way with a few punches of red. I hope she enjoys it and can find a place for it.

My Eyes

I can see clearly now my glasses are gone. My Lasik surgery went really well. I had it done last Thursday. Caleb took me to my follow up appointment on Friday. things are healing great and my eyesight as of Friday was 20/25. My depth perception has been off by quite a bit. The doctor said t is caused because of the correction of my prescription and astigmatism. Due to the fact of both being corrected it will take a little longer to adjust. I asked the doctor what my prescription was before my surgery. I also told people that I was blind when asked. After finding out what my prescription was blind was right. The big E at the top of the eye chart is 20/400. When you add in how bad my astigmatism was it put me at 20/800. Are you kidding me? After hearing that it solidified my thoughts of always being blind.

After my apointment Friday we ran to the mall ande I bought my first pair of sunglasses. They are cute. It was an adjustment to be able to see myself in the mirrior with them on. I asked Caleb and the girl that worked at the kiosk to help me decide since this was a first. This was a big decision. I needed reinforcement on which one was a good match for me.

I feel like a child who has just learned how to read. I find myself reading everything just to prove to myself that I can see it/read it.
